SSC CGL 2025 : Important Dates
The Staff Selection Commision (SSC) shall conduct Combined Graduate Level (CGL), SSC CGL 2025 for 14582 post in Group B and Group C in different Government of India Departments. The tentative schedule for online computer based examination for Tier -I is Second half of August and Tier -II online computer based examination is December 2025.
For SSC CGL the important dates to remember are:

Vacancies:
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases notification of SSC CGL 2025 Examination. The total number of Post is 14582. These are tentative numbers, the final numbers will be determined in due course.

State-wise/ Zone-wise vacancies are not collected by the Commission. Candidates are advised to approach the concerned User Departments for information pertaining to zone-wise/state-wise vacancies.
Reservations:
- Reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates for all the categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.
- Vacancies for ESM are reserved for only Group “C” posts.
Nationality :
- a citizen of India, or
- a subject of Nepal, or
- a subject of Bhutan, or
- a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
- Only male candidates are eligible for the vacancy(ies), if any reported, in the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
SSC CGL 2025 : Age Limit and Relaxation

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) in his latest released notification of Combined Graduate Level Examination, SSC CGL 2025, mentioned the minimum and maximum age for various posts as on August 01, 2025.
Category-Code Permissible relaxation for in upper age for SSC CGL 2025 is as follows:
Important Notes :
- ESM (Ex Serviceman) candidates are not eligible for Group B posts.
- Age relaxation/ ESM reservation is not admissible to sons, daughters and dependents of Ex-Servicemen. Therefore, such candidates should not indicate their category as ex-servicemen.
SSC CGL 2025: Essential Qualification (01-08-2025)
The candidates applying for Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination i.e. SSC CGL 2025 must ensure that Minimum Essential Qualification criteria must be fulfilled.
The minimum qualification for SSC CGL 2025 is Bachelor Degree from a organised university or equivalent as on August 1, 2025.
• The candidates who have appeared in their final year of their graduation can
also apply, however they must possess Essential qualification as on 01-08-2025.
